Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Islamic Banking & Finance

Al-Sadiq (a.s.) Institute of Islamic Banking, Finance & Takaful, in collaboration with Minhaj University Lahore, offers a comprehensive one-year Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Islamic Banking & Finance. This program is designed to equip both professionals and non-professionals with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the rapidly growing field of Islamic banking and finance. Through a blend of academic rigor and real-world application, participants will gain a solid foundation in Shariah-compliant financial systems and products, preparing them to navigate and excel in this unique sector of the financial industry.

  • Leading to BS/MS program with Minhaj University Lahore.
  • The Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Islamic Banking & Finance consists of 10 courses.
  • The program is spread over three semesters, each four months.
  • Each semester includes:

Academic Trainers in Islamic Finance (ATIF)

Academic Trainers in Islamic Finance (ATIF) is a 30-hour weekend program is a strategic initiative designed in alignment with Pakistan’s evolving financial landscape and the growing demand for Islamic finance education among academic professionals. By addressing a critical gap in educator-level knowledge of Islamic banking, finance, and Takaful, the ATIF course aims to empower faculty and trainers with the necessary tools to disseminate Islamic financial principles effectively and ethically.

Program Contents:

  • Module 1: Core Doctrines of Islamic Economics and Finance Jurisprudence
  • Module 2: Conventional Financial Intermediation vs. Islamic Models
  • Module 3: Shari’ah Compliant Short – Term Financing Structures (with relevant AAOIFI Shari’ah Standards)
  • Module 4: Shari’ah Compliant Long – Term Financing Structures (with relevant AAOIFI Shari’ah Standards)
  • Module 5: Takaful & Risk Mitigation (with relevant AAOIFI Shari’ah Standards)
  • Module 6: Faculty Development on Pedagogical Approaches for Teaching Islamic Banking and Finance

(Preparatory course for Certified Islamic Professional Accountant exam of AAOIFI)

Al-Sadiq (a.s) Institute of Islamic Banking, Finance & Takaful is offering a certificate course for preparation of Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (CIPA) of AAOIFI Exam. The course is based on the AAOIFI CIPA syllabus and is designed to provide an in depth knowledge of Auditing and Financial Reporting to Islamic Finance Professionals.

The course cover the Auditing and Accounting section of the CIPA program along-with Business Regulatory Environment while the same will be facilitated by Industry experts with hands-on experience in Islamic Financial Accounting.
